Public speaking & performing

Public speaking, performing or making presentations can be very nerve wracking. And just the thought of it can send ones stomach churning. Or make throats close down, voices wobble and tightness in the chest. These feelings of anxiety when public speaking and performing can stop you in your tracks. Thus making it very difficult to perform whatever job you do.

Hypnotherapy can be very useful for this problem, using techniques to reduce anxieties and focusing on the end achievements. The pop star Adele has been known to use hypnotherapy. And I have helped many clients with presentation anxiety, also professional singers, musicians and Athletes.

I first contacted Viv to help work on my sporting performance, although the insight I gained from working with her has benefitted many areas of my life.
During our first session, she explained how the mind works and how she could help. Everything Viv said was very logical and made perfect sense.
During our sessions, Viv didn’t focus on negatives at all, only positives and I quickly began to realise the way my mind was working was causing me unnecessary anxiety, which in turn was holding me back from really enjoying the things I love to do.
My sessions with Viv helped me to quickly recognise when my energy is being wasted on negative thoughts and helped me find the internal tools to turn that energy into finding solutions.

I’m a very busy businessman and for me, public speaking has long been a cause of considerable anxiety. The stress in the lead up to a speaking event would be overwhelming and would cause panic attacks. This is not helpful in a fast-paced business environment. Determined to tackle this, I have tried toastmasters and various other courses in the hope that I could control the stress and anxiety. However, none of these produced the results I was searching for.
I met Viv, whose wonderful calm and positive nature filled me with confidence in her ability to help. She immediately took a different approach to that of anyone I had seen in the past. This was surprisingly powerful and over the course of 9 sessions has completely transformed my approach to public speaking.
I still feel a twinge of nerves before I speak, but this is excited energy, over which I have full control. I would have no hesitation in recommending Viv to anyone in my situation.
